Fairview Farm has been a working farm, owned by Deborah Cox since 1989. After many years of running a successful riding school, Debbie recently decided to focus primarily on a new direction in Holiday Accommodation, after the success and demand of the first self-catering log cabin on-site ‘The Sherwood’. There are now a variety of 15 self-catering properties available to hire in this beautiful setting.
Surrounded by countryside, there are plenty of local walks and cycling routes including a lane around the farm where you can spot the horses grazing in the fields.
All guests are welcome to look around the stables and meet the horses. In addition, you can book 4x4 off road experiences in the farm's Polaris RZR race vehicle. Please request for a price and further information.
There are many activities available in Sherwood Forest close by such as Go Ape, Segway riding, paint balling, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery and many more.
Local attractions include Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park, White Post Farm, Wollaton Hall, Nottingham Castle, the City of Caves, Newstead Abbey, Rufford Country Park and Clumber Park.
At Fairview there are still a selection of horses and ponies, including some of our older riding school ponies that enjoy meeting our guests and always welcome the attention! During your stay you can add on a FREE pamper-a-pony package, where you can spend time with one of our ponies and learn how to brush them.
